Deep Conditioning & WET HAIR LENGTH CHECK!! :)

Hey all,

So, earlier this week I decided to take out my twists:

Oh, I enjoyed those twists!!! :)

It took FOREVER to do it, y'all!! Forever being about THREE hours.  -- Now, after I took them out... In PERFECT Charlotte fashion, I decided to give it a quick watering w/a bit of conditioner, finger comb it out and rock an afro for pictures... Hair just as dirty as can be, but it looks abSOULutely amazing:
Earrings??? Yeah, I make 'em... Look out for my line at the end of June 2011! :)

A little UPDO w/all that delicious Naptastical Flava that I rock!!!
So, after this 'PHOTO SHOOT'... I washed my face, put my hair in a ponytail, wrapped it up and went to sleep!! HAHA! :) -- The next day, I got to washing:
I washed it with VO5 Moisture Milks Moisturizing Shampoo -- Passion Fruit Smoothie w/soy milk protein.
I then Deep Conditioned it:
Conditioning my hair with: Tresemme Smooth & Silky conditioner with vitamin H and silk protein AND VO5 Tea Therapy Nourishing Conditioner Calming Chamomile Tea.
Before I braided it all up, I did a WET HAIR LENGTH CHECK!!!:
BOOP! HA!! Gotta love it! Natural Hair, Don't Care!!! :)
I'm so loving my natural journey, folks!!! So, now, I'm trying to do a braid out for the first time!! I'm a twist out girl at heart... But, this time I decided to do something different! :) -- I'll have pictures and a blog about it tomorrow... GOOD OR BAD!!!

Note to SELF and YOU ALL: -- Use what works on YOUR hair.  So many Natural Nazis will give YOU what THEY feel you should use... Ummmmmmm...NO!! As you can see, I don't follow that mess and the GROWTH DON'T LIE! :) -- Do what works for you... Use what YOUR hair likes!! :)

Alright... I'll be back tomorrow...come what may!! HAHA! :) I hope you enjoyed this blog folks! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!! I'm here! :) AND... SPREAD the WORD about my blog! :)

Keep Watching,

I'm new to your blog, but I had to comment on this post. Particularly when you stated: "Use what works on YOUR hair. So many Natural Nazis will give YOU what THEY feel you should use... Ummmmmmm...NO!! As you can see, I don't follow that mess and the GROWTH DON'T LIE! :) -- Do what works for you... Use what YOUR hair likes!!"
I JUST embraced this. Seriously. Thanks for being real. -Bless

Lisha * Thank you for following my blog! I hope I can keep you intrigued!! -- And you're more than welcome. The truth is: Many folks in the natural community try to FORCE their hair regimens on you... They want you to not use mineral oils and silicones, and GREASE...etc..etc... And, honestly, I don't follow that at ALL!! My hair strives on grease... It loves it... I grease my scalp faithfully and my hair grows amazingly. Queen, do what works for YOU. Don't worry about the naysayers... as your hair grows and gets healthier and healthier, your hair regimen will speak for itself!! Blessings, doll!!

I had a similar convo with my ma! She was telling how she used grease & water on my hair when I was younger; and that I need not use all of these diff products/regimens on my hair. I had healthy hair literally all the way down my back, and all she used was GREASE & water. I'm just now getting back to the basics, and my hair has responded well (again). So, I will def be keeping up with your blog. You (and a few ladies on Youtube) have kept it the realEST thus far. -Bless

Lisha * RIGHT!! Grease and water was ALWAYS the go-to for us as children... Then, we get older and decide to try all these 'other' thangs instead of sticking with what works!!! GREASE AND WATER works wonders for ALL of us over here!!! No dryness... No hair falling out or breaking off!! Just good, strong hair!!!! Your Ma is right!!! Nothing wrong with doing what YOU KNOW works for you, mami!!

I appreciate your support with my blog!! I am following yours as well, doll!!!

Continue growing your lovely, natural mane, Queen!! :) Enjoy the journey!
