Char's Twist-Up & Twist-OUT (after 4 months)... Let's Go!

Hey all...

So, after FOUR months of mini-twists, I decided to take a break and give myself some much needed twist outs... Why?? Well, I needed my hair to be free and 'fingered through' for a while.  My hair loves it, so why not...

Alright... Let's go!

Products used:

Suave Professionals Humectant Conditioner
Suave Professionals Damage Care
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Water
Proclaim Sapphire Bergamot Conditioning Hair Dress

So, I made a nice leave in conditioner with the conditoner, the oil and the water... WORKS GREAT, BTW... It has my hair so soft and amazing!! :) I also used the grease as a sealer...

Anywho... So, I took my uncombed hair:

And I pulled out sections and sprayed my concoction on it. I then finger combed and rubbed the concoction through:

That good leave in mixture!! HA... Look at those ringlets! :)
"LENF" (length)
I then rubbed my good GREASE on the sections, and twisted it all up. I did that over my entire head!!

I put that band on my head to keep me from getting TOO greasy on my face!! HAHA!! :) Yes... I'm a bit greasy about the face... it was HOT in that bathroom!! :)
So, I look like I'm all gray, huh?? HAHA!! I know!! And it's my special concoction mixed with that good grease that made it this way.  Fast forward 30-45 minutes:

BAM!!! Look at that shiny loveliness!
All that white stuff is GONE, chile!! My hair soaked MOST of it in (I did have a few SOUL GLOW MOMENTS!! LOLOL!! Shout out to one of my followers for that one!!)... but, it felt great having all that goodness in there. My hair was so soft and light!!!

I rocked my tam and flower accessories on my hair throughout the week:

Check that earlace!! Yes... I'm getting it in! :)
THEN... I reconditioned my hair the night before the twist out to make sure it was nice and soft for the BIG REVEAL...

THE BIG REVEAL:

How gorgeous is that??? I tell you... I'm so in love with it... I rocked that like nobody's business!! It is so soft and flows so well!

So, before I went to bed, I re-twisted it up in a 'dry twist' to keep it nice and detangled:

Yes... Dry twists... Look how conditioned my hair is??? Beautiful!
Stay tuned for the next look!! Rollers will be involved with the next twist out!! :) Post to come! :)

I hope you liked this post... I enjoyed sharing it with you!!

Char,
I love this twist out on you. It's nice that you have a great concoction that works great for your hair. I used to use Suave Humectant when I first went natural but abandoned it after joining the bandwagon of "use 100% natural". I did not know that u could leave it in your hair.

I am eagerly waiting for your dry twist out.

Coilybella * Thank you, mami!!! -- Yeah... that bandwagon can through you off your track to 'greatness about the head'... :) Gotta do what works for you. Yep... I leave it in with no issues or problems. Even leave in conditioner that you buy @ the store has conditioner in it... It's just watered down (like I do mine)... No difference. :)

Thank you!

Your hair is gorgeous (as always)! I'm always cracking up when you mention grease because I love the stuff, too! I get some of the softest, most well-defined twist-outs with it. Happy growing!
