Today was WASH DAY... Children's HAIR WASH DAY! :)

Hey all!!

So, today, I decided to wash ALL THREE of my daughters hair... I washed and conditioned it and combed it... I DO have a headache now, and I'm tired, but they are all fresh and clean and good for some weeks!!

What I used:

To wash their hair: I used Tea Tree conditioner to 'co-wash' their hair.
To condition their hair: I used Tresemme conditioner to condition it.

I then dried it all nice and mixed together:
Tea Tree Conditioner
Tresemme Conditioner
Olive Miracles Growth Oil (all natural... Unsure why it's called growth oil)
Water

I mixed all that together in a bottle (about 2-3 tablespoons a piece of everything and then finished it off with water to the top of the spray bottle), and one by one, I did their hair...

PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MY PICTURES...

My oldest...

I twisted her up... She has about 75 twists on her head.  The concoction that I put together worked WONDERS on her hair... I'd had her doing it herself for about 2 months and when I got in it today BEFORE I washed it, it was a HOT mess...Looked like dreads!! -- Y'all, I put that deliciousness in her head and it softened it RIGHT UP and made it so very easy to manage:

My middle one...

So, I had been letting her do her own hair as well for the past 2 months!! HA... Her hair looked like a birds nest in the center back area... SMH... I put that lovely goody in her hair and IT was so easy to comb through.  Don't let her texture fool you folks!! It's hard to get through that stuff!!!!

My youngest...

Now, you all know that I'm always in her head!!! So, it was really simple!! Today, I just decided to give her a side fro... Put a couple of hair combs on the side and a butterfly ornament at the top!! She was happy, I was happy and after doing the the other girls' hair, I was TI-RED!!!

Overall, the day was good!! They look great, they feel great and I'm happy that I'm good on it for a while!! Will I go back to letting the older two do their hair??? SURE WILL!! HAHA... They have to learn somehow... I give them the products to use and they... Well... They're a teenager and a pre-teen... So, that should tell you something!!! LOLOL

*DISCLAIMER* -- Before using these products on yourself or your children, make sure they are GOOD for their hair.  Make sure that they help in moisturizing their hair.  If they don't, DO NOT USE THEM!!! NO one wants to walk around with a dry rug on their head, you know???

Thanks for reading, folks!! Make sure to tell your friends about the blog and get me some more followers!! :)

Black Children's Hair... What to use!?!?!

Hey all!

The other day, I was asked what I use on my youngest daughters hair to keep it so shiny and healthy.  The answer is: Different things!! Depending upon the weather, etc, I change it up.  However, there is ONE thing that is a MUST for her: TEA TREE LEAVE IN CONDITIONER!! Folks, hear me...It works GREAT!! It makes her hair soft and extremely easy to manage.  Her hair is in very good condition and she actually ENJOYS getting it done.

Pictures (Now, I can't BELIEVE I have to say this but... DO NOT STEAL MY PICTURES...):

In each one of these pictures, WATER and Tea Tree Leave In Conditioner (Proclaim brand from Sally's... about $3.00) was used to make her hair soft and easy to manage.  I also use Olive Miracle brand products on her... Their moisturizing lotion is AMAZING for her hair... Also, they have a growth oil that I put on MAYBE once every two weeks or so.  AFRICAN PRIDE grease... Yes, I STILL use grease on our hair!! LOL... It works amazing for her... A nice greased scalp help her hair stay conditioned and prevents breakage.  I grease her scalp every two weeks as well.

When it comes to our hair, ESPECIALLY the babies, it's nice to have a good regimen for them... AND make sure the stuff that is used is something they aren't allergic to... That's VERY VERY VERY important.  And PLEASE try different things for your childrenl  Just because it works for some doesn't mean it'll work for ALL! :) -- Everyone is different.

*Also, PLEASE go back to the beginning of my blog and check out my TRESCORN mix! It works wonders, folks!*
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog, folks.  If you have any questions, PLEASE feel free to ask.  Don't hesitate!! :)

Hey all,

It took FOREVER to do it, y'all!! Forever being about THREE hours.  -- Now, after I took them out... In PERFECT Charlotte fashion, I decided to give it a quick watering w/a bit of conditioner, finger comb it out and rock an afro for pictures... Hair just as dirty as can be, but it looks abSOULutely amazing:
Earrings??? Yeah, I make 'em... Look out for my line at the end of June 2011! :)

A little UPDO w/all that delicious Naptastical Flava that I rock!!!
So, after this 'PHOTO SHOOT'... I washed my face, put my hair in a ponytail, wrapped it up and went to sleep!! HAHA! :) -- The next day, I got to washing:
I washed it with VO5 Moisture Milks Moisturizing Shampoo -- Passion Fruit Smoothie w/soy milk protein.
I then Deep Conditioned it:
Conditioning my hair with: Tresemme Smooth & Silky conditioner with vitamin H and silk protein AND VO5 Tea Therapy Nourishing Conditioner Calming Chamomile Tea.
