So, today after all of the abc's and 123's etc, I decided to have a nice conversation with Choca. We talked about everything from beauty to food to schoolwork to songs... Here is some of that conversation:
Beauty was a huge topic. I told her how gorgeous she was and that God made her the way she is, and I love how she embraces EVERYTHING about herself at such a young age. We talked about how beautiful her hair is, how beautiful her face is, how beautiful her skin coloring is, how beautiful her clothes are, etc...etc...
I make sure to take to ALL THREE of my girls like this because I want them to know that they are amazing, and I want them to hear it from me....EVERY SINGLE DAY. I don't let a day go by (even when they get on my nerves)... It's important to let your children know that at HOME, so they don't go outside the home looking for that type of affection from another...
THEN, we took pictures:
Of her face:
Of her hair:
And her entire person:
She chose the pictures she wanted me to post on the blog!! :) (Yes, I give her that option...)
Then, after it was all said and done, she took a nap:
A lot of folks don't think of this as a topic/subject for homeschool/unschool, but to us, it's VERY important... All of these important issues start at HOME... Let your children know you have faith in them and all they all about. Let them know that they are capable of doing ANYTHING they put their minds to... It truly makes a difference! :)
I hope you all enjoyed this blog!!! I know I enjoyed taking the pictures of my little darling and doing the video for you all!!
What do you do to let your children know how awesome they are???

Great topic! I need to remember this. Thanks for the reminder! Every day!
What you say at the end of this post is soooo true. Our children must know from us that if no one else believes that we as parents believe in them and all they are capable of. Thank you for sharing.
On a different note, Baby Choca always makes her Auntie Michelle so happy...I caught my kiss. For all of you who thought it was for you, it was really for me...LOL, just kidding.
Goldilocks*n*Me * Amen!! :) You're more than welcome, doll!!

Charlotte,, this was a beautiful post. One on one time with children is very important. I have 4 children so I understand where you are coming from on your reasoning for talking & spending time with them. I like how you stated that schooling begins at home. Not many people realize that. I really thought your video was really cute. It gave me a little incite on the woman & child behind the blog which was nice. Have a wonderful day Char.
Michelle G * Yes ma'am! It's imperative that we let our babies know how AMAZING they are... Society will always tell them different... We have to shoot that down before it engulfs their minds!
And... Thank you!! She says, "THANK YOUUUUU!!" -- HAHA... Kisses for Auntie Chelle!! :)
Char~
KeeKee * Thank you so much!!! FOUR BABIES!?!?! Whew... So, I know you understand where I'm coming from!! :) Yes... We MUST talk to our babies... Embrace our babies... LOVE all over our babies!!!
Schooling definitely should begin and end at home... I believe that teachers (outside of the home) are just interims for parents... Not the main source of a child's learning. :)
And, thank you on the video!!! I'm glad you were able to get some incite on Choca and I!! <3
Have an amazing day, doll!

Oh Char, this is something I do everyday with my son and my daughter! I make sure they both know how proud I am of them and how proud I am that I get the privileged to be their Mama! Baby O and I have a routine we go through every day and she's now telling me how gorgeous I am, out of the blue! I always make sure to tell both my babies how much I love them (even when I'm mad at them), how thankful I am for both of them and that they are both the highlights of my day!
Nikki * YES!! That's what's up!! :) All three of my girls and I tell each other how beautiful and amazing we are... Choca loves to say, "oooh, Mommy... So pretty!!! Love you!" My older girls are JUST as vocal as well!! I'm truly thankful for my babies as well and for the relationship we have!! :)
I'm glad you are one of those parents that does this as well (Even when mad at them... sometimes that's difficult, but it's still a must)...
Char~
God bless you!
That is so true. If we do not tell them how much they are loved at home, you know the rest!.
I love my two babies. They are God's gift to me. I pray everyday that God will enable me to love them half as much as He does because He loves them much more than we do. There are so many abused and neglected children out there (I work with them on a daily basis), that have turned to drugs and sex for comfort. We must love the children that God has placed in our hands , also TELL them like Charlotte stated in her post.
I love you sis. Thanks for the remider!
Coilybella * AMEN!!! I couldn't have said it better myself!
I love you too, sis!! <3
Char~

Coilybella * Thank you!! I got it from my local beauty supply... I want to find some online though, so I can have EVERY color!
